It’s not often said that training your dog will ruin your life. But it does. Once you have a well trained dog, everything changes. You become someone different. You’re barely recognizable to the people that knew you when your dog was a tyrant.

You’ll spend all of your money on family vacations and outings. You’re going to leave your dog with friends or family and not have them hate you when you return. As a matter of fact, they might even like you more and want to visit you more often. You’ll also take your dog to new places and not have them make it miserable or embarrass you.

You’ll have too much time of your hands. You won’t be spending all of your time chasing your dog around yelling at them, cleaning up their mess and the things they’ve destroyed or trying to dog-proof your home. You’ll have more time for reading or education. You might even pick up a new hobby like photography or cooking. Or maybe you’ll just spend your day watching YouTube videos and Netflix. You could also get completely caught up in the world of dog sports, and that’s a whole new set of problems.

Life is so much easier and less stressful when you have a trained dog. You’ll be a happier person. You’ll have time to do the things that make you happy and be with the people who make you happy. Your attitude completely changes when your dog’s behavior stops controlling your life. Life is full of stress and problems, but your dog doesn’t have to be one of them. Training will ruin the life you have with an untrained dog.
